Shaylynn Marks is a multi-talented creative force whose work spans the written word, music, and visual art. As a published author, musician, and painter, she brings a unique blend of artistry and storytelling to her audience. Shaylynn’s literary repertoire specializes in free-verse poetry, urban fantasy, and historical fiction, where her vivid imagination and heartfelt narratives captivate readers.
Her fiction has appeared in notable publications such as Flash Fiction Magazine and the Washington Writers’ Publishing House. In poetry, she was the featured poet in the debut issue of Bloodshed Review by Poetic Anarchy Press and earned recognition as Second Runner-Up for Poet of the Year. Her chapbook, Pheromones, a poignant exploration of intimacy and queer identity, has garnered international sales, cementing her reputation as an emerging voice in contemporary literature.
Shaylynn graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, earning the Advanced Achievement Award for her exceptional work and dedication.
Passionate about community and artistic expression, Shaylynn contributes to Sass Magazine, writing articles that blend wit and insight, empowering women to explore wellness and creativity. Her work has included featured pieces such as "Wellness Retreats You Need to Book Now" and "How to Stay Active (and Sane) Even with a Desk Job."
